Under Human Interface Device, look for Logitech Virtual G-Hub Mouse. Uninstall, reload mouse driver: Right click on Windows or Start button and select Device Manager. Otherwise, if persistent profile is set to 'none,' then I always get the left click and drag issue described here, and across many other forums. Beyond being an extraordinary waste of time (it makes coding really, really slow), such issues are a constant interruption, making it very difficult to maintain focus. Then, right click on it and select Stop Process. Go into the gaming software settings and click on 'profile.' Make sure that there is a profile selected for the 'persistent profile' option. If the program was consistent with all the actions regarding highlighting and dragging, like a video game, I could learn the timing and needed movements to get a flow going. I have already deleted preferences, uninstalled the software and reinstalled it from new and Im running out of ideas. moving graphics around a document or audio files within Logic, but I cant drag documents from one folder to another, or off the desktop into folders etc. I can click on the item, it just wont let me drag it. If youre on a laptop and mean touchpad click when referring to mouse click, check out your touchpads software for the relevant setting. My USB mouse has suddenly stopped dragging & dropping files. I have been working away on InDesign this morning and all of a sudden it is no longer letting move imagery around on my file. When performing qualitative research with a new program, I am appreciative of needing to learn new skills, but eventually I need to be able to create a flow as I gets deeper into the work. InDesign wont let me drag/move objects in file. I was able to solve this problem with hints from the Interwebs: I opened System Preferences > Trackpad, and unchecked the box labeled 'Force Click and haptic feedback.' This solved my problem Good luck. As of yet, I have found no consistent way to both highlight and drag the text effectively. You have to hold it long enough, but who knows what that length of time is, as that length of time randomly changes. I have this problem too, meantime double click continues to works perfectly. Step 5: Then go to Startup tab and click Open Task Manager to continue. Step 4: Then check the option Hide all Microsoft service and click Disable all. Step 3: In the System Configuration window, please go to the Service tab. The problem described here is 'click and drag' not working. Step 2: In the popup window, type the msconfig in the box and click OK to continue. Mouse is clean, the left click is not sticking, its just not working, it sounds the same as the right. Then comes the second issue, whether you can drag it to your desired code. The right click works immediately just like I expect, but the left click does not. I have tried different timing sequences such as waiting 1,3,5,10 seconds etc, but it seems almost down to random chance if the highlight will hold. Please someone tell me there is a solution to my problems! Problem one, after highlighting text, when I attempt to drag said text to a code, half the time the highlight disappears.
